Previously, this was only possible via a proprietary interface limited to dealers using a ZEG-specific merchandise management system. Now, with a new additional Veloconnect interface developed by Campudus, ZEG dealers can directly transmit their product availability to ZEG, regardless of the system they use.
Since this application involves transmitting products from various brands, the ‘StockB2C’ function was employed. For this purpose, ZEG acts as a ‘marketplace’, making the transmitted product availability data accessible on the respective brand websites, such as for dealer searches.
To enable this, the Campudus Veloconnect Server with version 1.4 was integrated into ZEG’s existing Veloconnect setup (version 1.1). The server takes on the role of the ZEG merchandise management system, seamlessly forwarding retailers’ stock data as before. By combining the new Veloconnect server with the existing interface, the implementation was carried out quickly and efficiently, without requiring extensive adjustments on ZEG’s part.
Thanks to this flexible solution, ZEG can gradually migrate its entire Veloconnect setup to the Campudus Server. In the near future, it is planned to migrate ZEG’s subsidiary brands, including i:SY, Kettler, and Hercules, to dedicated server instances managed by Campudus
